The Death Penalty. How Come?

Murderers, Rapists, thieves, all are just plain criminals. Each criminal deserves to be punished. But to what extent, and by whom? Should one man have a right to control another mans life? What gives him control, or who gives him control. We as individuals, and as a nation have gone to far in our efforts to serve justice.

We have gone to the point that we have no problem taking a mans life. Do you realize that life is the only thing you can take and not give back? You steal a car it can be returned. If you break a vase it can be replaced. If you lose money it can be earned again. But life cannot be earned, brought back, or replaced. It is gone. So why are we so encouraging of this deprivation?

We have taken the roles of God. We now take lives as though it was ours to begin with. Why you ask? In the name of justice. If a man murders a man he can be sentenced to death. How is that punishing him for his actions? It is justifying alright, justifying his actions of murder. If the law is murdering people in the name of justice, what makes the murders unjustified. Individuals can be sentenced to the death penalty for doing something wrong. No one in this world is perfect, and God says that no sin is greater than the other, so technically any women who has ate until she was "full" is wrong, any man who has lust after a women is wrong. As a matter of fact any person who has triggered the needle, or turn on the chair in an execution is a murderer and should therefore be put to death next, if we are going to be fair. The point is no person is right, and no actions are justified. Therefore whole concept of a death penalty is a contradiction to what it was originally set out to do, and what it hopes to achieve.

Homecoming 2006.

This past Friday was the homecoming dance and pep rally, which made no sense because the game was on Saturday. Now I may not be the smartest person in the world but isn't the whole purpose of the pep rally to get the team players hyped up and energies for the game? If this is true then why was it on the Friday, did they really expect for the feeling to carry us from 2:00 p.m. all through the dance, while we slept, on the bus ride all the way through to the game almost 12 hours later? Yeah, not likely. With that "well thought out" plan being brought to the light, lets talk about the dance.

Student were expected to come to a DANCE and were not permitted to dance. Yes, another great idea, most likely brought to you by the same people who planned the pep rally. It was said that our dancing is " Just like having sex with clothes on" as portrayed by Ms. Kirby. Well aren't you glad our clothes are on? If you had a choice of us A. Dancing like we do, with our clothes on, or B. Us just leaving the dance and getting straight to the intercourse, you would choose A. Obviously May be wrong , but when you were kids, didn't your parents hate the dances you were doing? And didn't you feel that they were appropriate? If so, then why must we continue this useless cycle of trying to prevent young adults from expressing themselves the way that they enjoy? Heresy the deal if you are going to charge high schoolers $10 to come to a school function then who are you to regulate how they use what they have just payed for? In my opinion the dance this year was more of a expensive conversation. If your going to raise prices, double what they were last year, then you can atleast put in a half decent effort to make it more enjoyable this year.

Aliens?

Lately, the thought of aliens has been crossing my mind a lot. I don't know if it's the thought of something other than human-beings being the the supreme species, or just plain boredom. Could there really be another form of life out the. And if we are looking for them, do you think that they are also looking for us? I don't know what to believe because the fact remains that no one has ever answered this, or any other question, and provided proof.

Honestly, I believe that there are aliens out there. It's kind of hard to believe that in a galaxy with an unknown, and immeasurable amount space that what we see here on Earth is the only form of life. As for the absence of evidence, I'm not sure. But I do believe that if we are capable of searching for another life form outside of our atmosphere that they are capable of hiding themselves from our technology. Or is the government hiding them from us? If they can protect missiles and other physical items here on Earth from us while we are here on Earth, then don't you think it's possible for them to hide something in space where we can't go and look to investigate?

Which brings me to my next point. If we could go and investigate how would we know what to look for? As far as we know, Aliens are big-headed creatures with big eyes and a flat pig shaped nose as portrayed by the movies. But how do we know that they don't look like us? If God created us in his image, and aliens are supposedly far more advanced than we are then could Aliens be made in the image of God's creator. Or were aliens the "people" spoke of in the bible, and we are the animals who are beneath them. This could be true, because God did kick Adam and Eve out of the garden, which could be Earth, which would explain why they are in outer space right now. Or maybe I'm thinking to hard, or maybe not!

N. Korea? Please!!

Over the weekend, North Korea supposedly tested a nuclear bomb that puts us in danger. Great! But I don't believe it. Do I think that N. Korea is capable of making a weapon of this caliber? Sure. Would I be scared if I were the United Nations? Of course. So why don't I believe it? Good question... because George W. Bush gave a speech about it. And the truth is I dont Trust him.

I'm sure he got this information from a "credible" source, but that's the problem. The last credible source came about 5 years ago and we still are trying to fix that mess. To be honest I would have taken the speech more seriously if it had come from Saadam Hussein. But Bush, hahaha. I would need a second opinion if he simply told me my shoes were untied. I know that the N. Koreans are making bombs, of course who isn't. But where is the evidence that it is a threat to us? They made it, they tested it. I'm no scientists, but bombs are made to blow up right? So if they tested it then it blew up right? So what are we worried about, the fact that they might blow us up? With a bomb thats gone? How I think we worry about too many things at once, and end up over reacting to everything.
