Currently, there seems to be a battle going on between two political juggernauts. With both being females it really has sparked interest nationally, and the media has fed off of it. The feud between Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Senator Hilary Clinton. Personally I really don't care about the words they've said to each other in press conferences, or who initiated this feud.

The thing that interests me about this battle is its potential. Now it appears as a fight between two black and white pawns. But it has the potential to escalade into two kings, or queens fighting it out. Both Hilary and Condoleezza have the know how to one day be president. Both have strong political backgrounds, and have a lot experience in being at the top of the political food chain. So who has the advantage? I would have to say Hilary. She is the former- first lady, and the most favored of the two by public. With that being said I wouldn't approve of either. It's not that I don't feel they are capable; it's primarily the fact that they are women. I am all for equal rights, affirmative action and all that stuff because I believe that's how God intended it to be. However I just don't feel that we are ready for a step this big in our country yet.

Makes You Wonder

The human mind is a complicated tool. It can be what ever we want it to be. If we feed negative thoughts into it, it becomes negative and disastrous. If we put positive into it, we get the reverse affects, our mind is pure and positive. With that being said, what happens to our mind if we put fiction into? Is that what we become and how we live our life?

As done in a Japanese experiment illustrated in the movie "What The Bleep Do We Know?" things we see are all an illusion created by our mind. The scientist took three water bottles all from the same lake, and simply put tags on them like " I love you", "Thank you", and one that said "I hate you". Then he checked the crystals formed by the water and all were beautiful snowflake like, except for the one labeled I hate you. This one looked green and distorted as if it had been contaminated by some pollution overly exaggerated as in a cartoon.

After seeing this it made me wonder. Are the things we see and accept all just alterations of how we have viewed life? When looking through our eyes we see that people make people, animals make animals, and plants produce plants. Could it be that this observation has caused us to make up the creator of everything an example being God? Does God really exist, or is he a just a figment of our imagination, put there by us to provide comfort in an area we know nothing about? Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Katrina or Bush?

Out of respect for those who lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina and those who lost a loved one, I amd sorry. My deepest condolences go out to all the families. I know it is hard to lose a loved one, nor should we have to. Now I don't want to confuse anyone so I'll put it plain. I DON'T LIKE BUSH. With that being said I feel that it is ignorant and farfetched for me to blame him for Katrina.

I think the only reason we are aiming at Bush is because we have no other outlet... That we are willing to acknowledge. How can 1 man be to blame for thousands? Isn't it there fault?I mean come on if you were warned that a massive Hurricane with the potential to destroy you, and anything else in its path, was coming wouldn't you move? Or would you wait until it kills all your neighbors, and then decide to pack and move?

What we fail to realize is that each person has control over their actions, and is responsible for themselves if capable. THEY have controls over THEIR ACTIONS. Not me, not Bush, but them. And the facts of life are simple. You learn from your mistakes. Wheen you run a red light and get a ticket, your cautious of those lights now aren't you. When your mother told you to do something, you did the opposite, she got the belt and what happened next time? Nothing cause now you know. Well when thousands die because they ignored a warning, I don't think warnings will be taken so lightly.

Kenwood Football Sucks?

Over the past four years, my experience at Kenwood has been pretty much feelings of rejection from a football players point of view. We receive no support, and no one really cares if we succeed. We take insults both in the class as students and on the field as players. Is it accurate to assume that football players are dumb sure... if you are dumb. I am pretty sure that not alot of non-football players scored as high on the ACT as me, and the time I was spending practicing they were studying.
Personally though I think everyone should shutup. It is always assumed that because we have lost in the past that we will always be losers. It is also always assumed that if we lose we are weak. Could there be a chance that the other team is just better? Or does anyone consider that during my four years alone we've had about six coaching changes. How can we ever learn a system or have a successful program if we can't keep A system or run the SAME program? I could spend a lifetime defending the team and what we've done, but why? Or to who? I don't see any of the critics on the field practicing, or taking hits, or conditioning, or doing a portion of what we do. How about this, if you aren't out there with us your dead to me. And the last time I checked I wasn't the little boy from The 6th Sense, I cant hear or see you so save your breath and my time.

formation of the colonies

England had established a colony, one no longer alive.
It was Roanoke, in Virginia established in 1585.
Now with this colony beng doomed England didnt get down.
For it was in N. America, in Virginia again now1606, the Virginia Company established Jamestown.
When economics was the concern established was the Jamestown colony.
Well plymouth was established by separists seeking religous autonomy.

The Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630 started as a commercial adventure.
But to puritans scheduled to be executed it was more like a safe-haven center.
In making important political or religous decisions about the colony,
they were all made by the church because they had become an instant theocracy.
When speaking of representative governments the other colonies were looking at their backs
because the Mass. Bay colony was the first to represent residents onthe terms of being taxed.

Major colonies were established in connecticut, rhode island, new hampshire, and maine
Their basis in which they were formed was the same.
Unlike the Mass. Bay colony these didnt let religion becaome a nuisance.
They focused their time on making a constitution.
Roger williams' advocacy ofseparation of church and state did his reputation damage.
It later convinced puritans leaders to have him banished.

French and Indian war affects the colonies

The British fought a good war, exspansion was on track.
Unfortunately they found themselves in debt after they had got back.
The colonies didnt help, British had a remedy for that.
They would take it out their pockets starting with the townshend acts.
They needed to get some revenue after the war had passed,
the colonist owed them so they threw taxes on glass
they taxed them on lead and paint they taxed them on tea
hell if i had been there they would have thrown a tax on me.

Next came the Tea acts which hurt the colonists soul.
this was just another attempt by the British to show that they're in control.
The colonies wanted to send a message, "Britain we arent mad atcha."
and to show that there are no hard feeling they threw them a party known as the Boston Massacre.
This angered the british perfusely, and they weren't going to tolerate that
and they put it plain for the colonists they passed the intolerable acts.

Travel for Pioneers (1700's)

Transportation was a problem the pioneers couldn't get around.
Everytime they needed something done fast this dilemma held them down.
In the 1700's you could say transportation was pretty s@#$ty
No matter what trail you went through it didnt connect to a major city.
Ben Franklin went on a quick run. Quick, huh, not really.
It took him 9 days to go from boston to phily.
he went by sailboat, rowboat, horses in stalls,
despite this combination he couldn get there fast at all.

Roads were to dusty in the summer, too muddy in the winter.
And if you came around the fall trees were in the center.
When travelers were set to leave they prayed with their family before the departed.
It took the Declaration of Independence 29 days to reached Charleston after the party on the 4th had started.
Coastwise traffic was slow & undependable though cheap and pleasant for a couple years.
This is what traffic was like in the days of the pioneers.
